La Divisa – Natural Geisha
La Divisa – Natural Geisha
Sebastian Gomez – Natural Geisha
Sourced from La Divisa Farm in Circasia, Quindío, Colombia, this Natural Gesha micro-lot is a shining example of meticulous craftsmanship and dedication to specialty coffee. Sebastian Gomez, a young and passionate producer, runs the farm alongside his father, John Gomez, who has been cultivating coffee for over 30 years. Since 2014, Sebastian has focused on elevating the farm’s production to high-quality, differentiated coffees, planting Geisha and Pink Bourbon to meet the rising demand for exceptional micro-lots.
This 100% Gesha lot was hand-picked to ensure only the ripest cherries were selected, then hand-sorted to remove any defects. The cherries were sundried on raised beds in temperature-controlled conditions, allowing for optimal moisture balance and a refined cup profile.
Gesha, one of the world’s most coveted coffee varieties, was first discovered in Abyssinia, Ethiopia, in 1931. It made its way to Panama in 1963, where it gained international recognition, before being introduced to Colombia in 2005. This lot embodies the floral and elegant nature of Geisha, delivering an exceptionally complex and aromatic experience.
